About Us

W. Matthew Looney

W. Matthew Looney is owner and managing partner of 4LE, LLC, a real estate investment company involved in acquisition, development/conversion and sale of apartment buildings and retail shopping centers.

With equity investments located from Texas to California, Matt has acted as managing partner of numerous projects and continues to seek new opportunities.  Since the inception of the company, he has assisted in the acquisition of over $350,000,000 in real estate on the east and west coasts while completing private-equity investments of $8,000,000 during the same time.

Prior to beginning his own company, he worked as a commercial lender with two locally owned banks in North Texas. 

He received his BBA from Baylor University (1995) and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).  He lives in Denison, TX, with his wife Jennifer and two children, Davis and Lindsay Jane and yellow lab, Buck.

 

Joel Looney

Joel Looney is the Vice President of Business Development at 4L Enterprises.  He is responsible for analyzing prospective new properties and conducting assessments for new investors. 

Working across the United States, Joel is responsible for developing the strategic framework and solutions for private and commercial investors.

Mr. Looney joins 4L Enterprises from Lehman Brothers in Los Angeles where he was a Senior Client Administrator until 2007.  Joel was part of a Corporate Cash Management and High Net Worth Team where he was responsible for trading and product analysis, while also administering client relationships.  He joined Lehman from Neuberger Berman, a boutique money management firm and wholly-owned subsidiary of Lehman Brothers, where he worked in Client Administration from 2001 until 2005. 

Mr. Looney received his BA in Public Relations from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2000 and his MBA from The Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University in 2006.
